A Litrpg and Gamelit Harem Adventure Bundle: (4 Novels) Page 10
Luckily, my mother had taught me how to cook, even with a few ingredients. I needed to go to the market before the only things I got to eat were apples and mayonnaise, which weren’t a good combination. I wrote a note “Buy food. Urgent” and left it on the table.
Tomorrow I’d take care of it.
Chapter V
I woke up with the sound of someone banging on my door. Whoever it was seemed to be angry and about to break in. I lay in fear, thinking it could be related to the game. Someone who was trying to stop me from saving Online Fantasy Harem and had discovered where I lived. I took a long, deep breath and told myself I’d be fine. A few seconds later the same sensation that corrupted my mind when I killed the guard was all over me again. The fear disappeared, and the only thing on my mind was how to kill whoever was at my door.
My body moved on its own, it was 9:30 am. I went to the kitchen and grabbed a sharp knife. My mind tried to prevent me, but my body ignored it. I walked up to the door and got ready to do it. I knew this wasn’t a game anymore but part of me didn’t care.
“Open the door, Tim. I’m worried about you.” A familiar voice shouted.
Fuck. It was Demi, my best friend. I opened the door right away and told her she had woke me up.
“Why do you have a knife in your hands?” She asked.
The day had just begun, and it was already being shitty. I had completely forgotten to hide the knife. She was looking at me with her pearl blue eyes, waiting for an answer, and tapping her foot.
I didn’t have a good explanation, but anything would work. She was a very gullible person. Time was running out, and I had to log in.
“I ate in my room yesterday and it seems like I forgot to take the knife to the kitchen. You know how sometimes I forget things.” I said and laughed.
She still seemed suspicious. We had been best friends since high school. She knew when I was lying and she could feel it now. Yet, she didn’t say a word about it.
“You were playing weren’t you?”
“Yes,” I replied.
“Tim, you know you’re my best friend. You are spending too much time on that game. When was the last time you left home?”
“Demi, I’m fine. You don’t need to worry about me.”
“You know I always do.” She said, and grabbed my hands, “Don’t be an idiot. Have you looked at yourself? You have dark circles under your eyes, your hair… I don’t even know what’s happening there, and I bet your room must smell like shit. Look, I brought you this.” She added and gave me a bag of different cookies, and a chocolate cake.
I thanked her. She was an amazing, kind person but could also be mildly annoying until she got what she wanted. In those situations, I had learned to go with the flow instead of pushing her away. It never worked, and I’d lose time I couldn’t waste right now. I let her come in, and she went straight to my bedroom.
Fuck. It had been a while since I cleaned it. I knew it was a mess, there were stinky clothes everywhere, half-eaten cookies, and I hadn’t done my bed. At least I had an excuse for that, she had woken me up and I didn’t have time.
“See? This room is an absolute mess. I can’t believe you would let yourself get to this point.”
I could explain to her why I had been playing so much, and how I’m seen as a hero in the game but she wouldn’t understand. She was the type of person who believed games weren’t for grown-ups, and that you couldn’t be friends with people you never saw in real-life. We had many discussions about it over the years, and they didn’t lead us anywhere. She thought she was always right, and it was quite hard to make her understand that sometimes she was on the wrong side.
“You’re right. I’ll clean it up right after you leave.” I said and glanced at my phone. 9:52 am.
“Are you trying to expel me from your house? Your addiction is controlling you and you should take a few days before diving back into the game.” She said and picked up my VR glasses.
“What do you think you’re doing?” I shouted and took them away from her soft hands.
I couldn’t risk having her destroying them or let them slip from her hands. She wasn’t that type of person but right now she seemed determined to find a way to stop me from playing. Time was counting, and I needed a solution. Kicking her out was too extreme, and although she was being annoying she was still my best friend.
“Look, tomorrow I’ll go have lunch with you. But today I have something to do.”
“In the game, right?”
“Yes, but it’s important. People are counting on me.”
“People you don’t know…” She said, almost low as a whisper, “Sure. I’ll be here tomorrow at midday. You better be awake by then, and ready to leave.” She said and turned away.
I followed her to the door, kissed her cheek, and went back to my room. It was already 9:57. I had to eat breakfast, and then I’d log in, a slice of the chocolate cake and water worked just fine. It wasn’t the ideal breakfast, but it was enough to suppress my hunger.
Finally, I could log in.
I was five minutes late, and everybody was already there, and ready. Their packs were full, and probably for the first time in a long time, they seemed genuinely happy.
“You’re late,” Brie grumbled.
“Five minutes. No one will die because of it.”
The look she sent me as soon as I finished that sentence pierced through my frail skin and went straight to my heart. I gulped and apologized. Due to the moment and the surrounding people, it was a distasteful sentence, and I shouldn’t have said it. It was time to understand that I couldn’t keep being the same guy I used to be. There were times where I had to be brave, others where I had to be funny, and others, like this one, where I had to have a serious posture and not let anyone see how I felt inside. Fear and nervousness were lingering in my brain, and despite my attempts to push them away, nothing worked. The problem wasn’t even having them there, it was that I still hadn’t learned how to control them and I dreaded that I’d ruin things like yesterday.
Brie cleared her throat. “Stay here while we go outside. We’ll be back in an hour, and with reinforcements. Everything will be fine.”
The wanted group all smiled and thanked us. We were already out of the room when someone touched my shoulder. I turned away, and it was Foxy with a present for me.
“Please, take this. It might be useful and I want you to have it.” She said, as her face turned slightly red. I grabbed it carefully and opened it. It was a useful item that could heal 90hp.
“Thank you, Foxy,” I said. I kissed her flushed cheeks and patted her short, ginger hair.
Brie muttered a low “We have to go” and I quickly picked up her pace. She still remembered yesterday’s route. I was glad to have her there because I’d be lost alone. The walls all seemed the same, and I didn’t understand how she knew whether we were going in the right direction. We heard lots of steps above us, at least 3, or maybe 4 people, and they were wearing boots or carrying heavy. Their steps echoed through the tunnels, and their voices, although we couldn’t hear what they were saying, were getting louder
“Probably guards.” She guessed.
We stopped walking and waited for them to be gone. They probably couldn’t hear us but we couldn’t risk it. The stakes had never been so high, and it wasn’t time for heroic dumbness. We had to keep a low-profile until everything was solved. We climbed the stairs and made sure no one was looking. As soon as we left the sewer the sun dazzled us, and we had to lean onto the walls. There was the usual layer of dust breeze going around in small whirlwinds, blocking our view and clearing the streets of NPC’s and most of the players.
“Cover your head with this cloak, and try not to draw attention,” Brie ordered me and handed me a cloak.
We walked slowly, and in silence. There weren’t many people online. It was still early and only people from the other side of the world, who made up for 30% of players, were playing. A few people looked at us, but they were just surp
rised to see us. After all, we were new there. No one knew who we were, only that we were on Joannie’s team and had a private meeting with Tillian and survived. The mere idea of that happening was enough to keep every casual player away from us. They wouldn’t dare to provoke us for fear of retaliation or punishment.
We walked around the city, pretending to be talking while we were intently studying all of the guards and writing a detailed account of everything we were seeing. We wrote where they were located if they left their post and for how long. There couldn’t be any mistakes. Our lives depended on how accurate we were, and we both knew it. After we were done with it we went straight to the resting place.
“We are almost there,” I said and looked around to make sure no one was watching us.
As soon as we got inside we breathed a sigh of relief. There was an NPC behind the counter, and two players in the left corner. They glanced suspiciously at us but ended up ignoring us. We climbed the stairs, and Brie invited me to her room.
“It’s better if we stay together.” She said and turned her face away.
Her hair fell on her face, and she interlaced her fingers in it. I followed her, slightly nervous, and eager to know if she would make a move. It was bound to happen, but she didn’t seem to be the type of person who would go for it. I had to gather all my courage and kiss her. It wasn’t the right moment, but it could be our last one.
We sat on her bed next to each other.
“Don’t tell them about Immortuos. Let’s figure this out first, and then we’ll talk about it. There’s no need to have them thinking about the future when we don’t even know if we’ll survive the present.” She said. Her eyes were brighter than usual despite the lights being turned off.
“You’re right. Look, there’s something I wanted to ask you.” I said as we exchanged eye contact.
“Shoot.”
“Do you have a boyfriend? In real life?”
“I don’t… Why are you asking?” She said as her face turned red.
I put my left hand on her cheek, pulled her closer, and looked at her tantalizing lips. Our faces got closer and our lips touched passionately, as our tongues intertwined. It was even better than I thought. I couldn’t believe I was kissing her. We had come a long way since we met and it all came down to this. I helped her lay down on the bed and took off her shirt. Her boobs bounced, and she giggled.
“Sorry, I’m shy.” She said.
I smiled at her and kissed her neck, which made her body squirm. We didn’t have much time, but it had to be enough. She pushed my head down and told me to explore her body.
“Please. Do it. Touch everywhere.” She begged.
I worked my way down to her boobs, grasped them, and wrapped my lips around her perky nipples. Her moans were still low, but I was just starting, and I wanted to give her the full ride.
“We don’t have time for this. Go down on me. Now.” She shouted, in between moans.
I was pleasantly surprised to know she was still bossy even when having sex. She didn’t lose her posture and that unique trait of personality that made her stand out. I hastened my pace, took off her outfit, and found out she had black thong panties. My cock rose from the depths of my briefs and I couldn’t hold it there. It begged me to come out, to please her, to show her what she had been missing.
I put her panties to the side and ran my tongue along her damp, shaved pussy. She had a prominent clit and a small bush above that area. I grasped her inner thighs, got closer, and started licking her like I hadn’t been fed in a million years. My job was to make her less stressed and happy. Her body writhed with pleasure and her juices slipped into my mouth, they were delicious.
She pulled me closer, and I buried my face into her pussy, increasing the velocity and adding two fingers inside her. Her moans filled the room. I moved my fingers slowly, making sure she was feeling them.
“Fuck. It feels so good. Don’t stop.” She shouted.
I hoped other players couldn’t hear us. I quickened my pace and her body shook as she orgasmed loudly. She had her eyes squeezed shut and her mouth half-open with saliva dripping. I had waited for this moment since I started the game and it was finally happening, and it felt real. I could feel her fingers digging into my flesh, our skins touching each other, her peach scent, and even the sound of her moans lingering in my brain.
“What are you waiting for Kratom? Haven’t you been waiting for this moment? A chance to fuck me? Do it.” She said, followed by biting her lower lip.
She gasped as soon as she saw my cock. I guided it directly into her tight pussy and lay on top of her. Her warm breath made my hair stand up, and I felt her hard nipples rubbing on my chest. I started gently, making sure she got used to having me inside her.
She moved her hips, matching my movements, telling me to go faster, and that’s exactly what I did. I rammed into her, each time harder and deeper. I was being merciless, and she seemed to love it. The bed was squeaking but we couldn’t stop. We didn’t care about anything else except for ourselves and mutual pleasure.
“Get on all fours,” I ordered her.
She turned around, lifted her ass, and put her face against the mattress. I wasted no time and inserted my cock inside her. This time I didn’t start slowly. I already knew she could take my whole length. I went hard and fast, grabbing a handful of her hair which made her lift her ass a bit higher. Our bodies kept clashing and making a splashing noise every time I went deep into her.
I was absolutely lost in the moment when the same calming sensation I felt when I killed the guard made my body move on its own. I pulled her hair harder and fucked her faster. Evil thoughts sprawled through my mind, and I heard voices on my head telling me to stab her. I knew I would never do it, but it was still frightening to hear them, to have those thoughts shouting at me to do it, to watch as her blood dripped. I pulled out and told her to get on top of me.
The thoughts just got louder.
“Choke her. Don’t stop until she can’t breathe.” They said.
I watched as my hand moved from her ass to her neck and I couldn’t do anything to stop them. My fingers gripped tightly around her frail skin. She was riding me incessantly; her hands on my chest, hair all over her face, and sweat running down her forehead. I choked her harder, and she told me to calm down with the enthusiasm.
However, I didn’t. My hands squeezed harder to the point she had to punch me in the face to stop me. She had the same look she had yesterday. She was horrified and afraid of me. I hadn’t cum and my cock was already limp. Words didn’t come out. My mouth seemed sewn shut.
“What were you trying to do?” She shouted furiously.
“I… I don’t know,” I replied, stumbling over my own words.
I was losing control. Every time I fell into the voices’ spell I stepped further into the darkness. It had become harder to resist the void, the desire of doing what I wanted, and how powerful I felt when I acted before thinking thoroughly.
It was all coming together, and I realized that I was one of the faceless man’s targets. He knew I had this inside me and had unlocked it. Or maybe he had been pulling the strings behind the curtain and the voices belonged to him. He was controlling me like I was one of his puppets, and I was only now figuring it out.
It was too late, I was already beyond salvation. I killed someone I didn’t have to and that wasn’t something that went away easily.
“I’m sorry Brie. I don’t know what got into me.”
“Let’s just forget this happened and wait for our team. You stay here. I’m going to sit over there.” She said and distanced herself from me.
I kept tapping my feet on the ground, trying to calm down and anxiously waiting for everyone. We still had to recount what happened yesterday, explain our plan, and even after that, there was still a chance it wouldn’t work. There were a lot of factors, and most of them were out of our control. The awkwardness stopped when Kitty’s avatar appeared out of nowhere at 10:50 am.

bsp; “What are you two lovebirds doing here?” She said and giggled.
I looked at Brie but she wasn’t even looking at me. She was looking through the small window they had in the room.
“You better sit because it’s a long story,” Brie muttered.
We told her what happened, and she listened intently. She didn’t say a word until we were finished. Brie omitted the part where I killed a guard, and so did I.
I wasn’t sure if she was protecting me or if she expected me to tell them. We said the guards were messing with us and I punched one of them when they tried to touch Brie.
“Well, I’m conflicted. As a healer, my job is to help and heal people so I’m all aboard…”
“But…?” I asked.
“More people to heal? I should have never chosen this class. I didn’t know it would be this boring, you know? Here we are trying to save the world when all I wanted was to explore it-”
“We are exploring the world,” Brie replied before Kitty finished.
“Well, we are. In the meantime, we are also trying not to get killed. It’s quite ironic, isn’t it? A healer surrounded by death."
She had a point, however, we had promised to help them. How could we save the world if we lost our kindness on the way there? We ended up waiting for the rest of the team. Silence fell upon the bedroom contrasting to the sound outside that was now louder than an hour ago. People were waking up, and the town was being brought to life.
We needed to accelerate. Foxy and her friends were waiting for us. Time seemed to be dragging itself and the rest of our team was taking too long. It was already 11 am, and only Kitty had arrived. We waited impatiently until Joannie’s avatar appeared in front of our eyes. She put her hair into a ponytail before turning to look at us.
“What’s wrong?” She asked as she walked up to me.
“How do you know something is wrong?” Brie replied.
